3 tablespoons of butter or margarine
1/2 teaspoon of thyme

Rinse and clean the broad beans
Cut into pieces
Place in a bowl with cold water and let it rest for 15 minutes
Fry the onion and garlic in butter or margarine, but don't let it brown
Add the broad beans, drained well
Cover and cook over low heat for about 15 minutes, or until the broad beans are cooked but still crunchy
Add any remaining seasonings
Serves 4 people.
