Mixture:
2 tablespoons of butter or margarine
1/4 cup of wheat flour
1 cup of chicken or beef broth
1 cup of milk
200g of mozzarella cheese, grated
Salt and black pepper to taste
Rolls:
1 kg of alho-poró
250g of cooked ham
Mozzarella cheese, grated to taste
Mixture:

To make the sauce, melt the butter or margarine
Add the wheat flour and mix well
Add the broth gradually, stirring constantly
Then, add the milk, continuing to stir
Add the mozzarella cheese gradually, still stirring
Season with salt and black pepper to taste
Clean the alho-poró and cut it into the desired size for the baking dish
Cook in boiling water for about 8 minutes
Remove from the pot and let drain
Wrap each alho-poró in a slice of ham
Arrange in the baking dish
Top with the cheese sauce
Sprinkle with grated mozzarella cheese
Bake in a moderate oven (170°C) preheated for about 40 minutes or until golden brown
Serves 4
