Make ahead: poke holes in the bananas with a fork and place them on a plate
Cover with lime juice and let it sit for about 30 minutes, flipping occasionally
Drain the bananas and cover with cinnamon
Place them in a baking dish, lightly greased with butter or margarine
Dust with butter or margarine, ground cinnamon, and water
Bake in a moderate oven (170°F) for 45 minutes, then let it cool and refrigerate until serving
You can also serve warm., immediately
Serve chilled with whipped cream, if desired
