Two cups of instant oats
Three-quarters cup of sugar
One cup of wheat flour
Three-quarters cup of butter or margarine
One cup of your preferred jelly

One cup of your preferred jelly
Mix well the oats, sugar, flour, and butter
Place half of the mixture in a greased pan, 18 x 27 cm, pressing it down firmly
Spread the jelly over the dough
Sprinkle the remaining dough over the jelly and gently press with your fingertips
Bake in a moderate oven (170°C) for 25 to 30 minutes
Let cool and cut into squares, rectangles, or lozenges.
