8 large sweet potatoes
1/2 cup butter or margarine at room temperature
1 envelope of onion soup
8 large sweet potatoes
1/2 cup butter or margarine at room temperature
1 envelope of onion soup
Wash and scrub the sweet potatoes well
Cut them into 1 cm thick slices
Mix the butter or margarine with the onion soup (dry it out as it comes from the package)
Spread this mixture on one side of each sweet potato slice
Gather the slices to form a whole sweet potato again
Wrap each sweet potato in a square of heavy aluminum foil or use two sheets of paper
Close the 'package' tightly
Roast over the grill for about an hour, or until the sweet potato is soft
Serve 8 portions.
