Preheat the oven to 250°C (very hot)
Open the pita breads in half
Distribute the beef among four halves of pita and, on top, arrange the cheese and lettuce
Sprinkle with salt
Cover with the remaining pita bread halves
Place the sandwiches in a large baking dish and bake in a preheated oven until the cheese melts (about 5 minutes)
Transfer to four plates and serve immediately
