8 tablespoons of butter
3 cups of finely chopped onion

Pound the steaks well
Season with salt and pepper to taste, lightly dust with flour
Melt 3 tablespoons of butter and pan-fry the steaks on both sides
Remove from the skillet and keep warm
Add the remaining butter to the skillet and heat thoroughly
Add the onion and cook, stirring, until it's nicely caramelized
Drain on paper towels
Serve the onion over the steak.
