Preheat the oven to 350°F (medium)
In a large bowl, cream together with a wooden spoon the butter, two types of sugar, egg, and vanilla extract
Gradually add the flour, baking soda, and salt, mixing well
Add the pecans and chocolate chips and mix
With a spoon, portion out the dough and shape into mounds on a baking sheet, leaving approximately 5 cm between them
Bake in the preheated oven until lightly golden (8-10 minutes)
