Melt the butter and add the sugar
Mix well, then add the beaten egg and vanilla extract
Sift together the dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, and salt) and combine with the first mixture
Finally, add the ground peanuts (which should be blanched in boiling water, then dried in an oven and finally ground)
Form logs of about 4cm diameter and wrap each one in wax paper, placing them in the refrigerator to firm up
If you want to speed things up, place them in the freezer
Cut into thin slices and bake on a lightly greased baking sheet.
