1 cup (240 g) of butter

2 cups of all-purpose flour sifted with 1 pinch of salt

Beat the butter and sugar together
Add the flour and knead until smooth
Roll out the dough to about 1/2 cm thick
Cut into circles approximately 7 cm in diameter
Cut a small slit in half of the cookies
Brush those cut cookies with egg white and sprinkle with nuts
Bake in a moderate oven (not too hot) for 10 minutes or until lightly golden
Let cool
Cover the uncut cookies with ice cream
Top with cut cookies and add more ice cream to the slit.
