1 cup of butter, softened
1/4 cup of dark brown sugar
1/3 cup of honey
3 large eggs
3 tablespoons of brandy or other spirits
1 and 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon of active dry yeast
1 cup of chopped nuts or almonds
1 cup of dark raisins
A pinch of confectioner's sugar for dusting

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C)
In a stand mixer, beat the butter until creamy
Add the brown sugar and honey and mix until well combined
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition
Add the brandy or other spirits and mix until the dry ingredients are fully incorporated
Mix in the flour with the yeast and add to the wet ingredients
Pulse in the remaining ingredients until just combined
Pour into a greased 10x24 cm cake pan and bake for approximately 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean (if the top is getting too brown, cover with foil)
Let cool completely before removing from pan and dusting with confectioner's sugar
Serve.
