Preheat the oven to medium temperature
Beat the sugar and butter together in a blender until smooth
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition
Combine flour and baking powder; mix well with a wooden spoon
Add ginger, banana, nuts, and cinnamon; mix and pour into the muffin tin
Bake for about 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean
Remove from oven and reserve
Decoration
When the pudding is cool, sprinkle confectioners' sugar over it
Top with candied orange zest.
