1 1/4 cup (stick) of butter

1 tablespoon of vanilla
5 eggs
2 cups of all-purpose flour
1/2 cup of chopped hazelnuts
1 teaspoon of baking powder
3 tablespoons of cocoa powder
Topping
150g of milk chocolate
2 tablespoons of butter
1 tablespoon of rum or brandy
1 1/4 cup (stick) of butter

Topping
150g of milk chocolate
2 tablespoons of butter
1 tablespoon of rum or brandy
Beat the butter, sugar, and vanilla in a mixer until smooth
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, until a creamy consistency is achieved
Remove from mixer, add flour, hazelnuts, and baking powder, mixing well
Divide the dough into two parts, and in one of them, add cocoa, mixing well
Grease an 15cm x 22cm cake pan and distribute the dough, alternating a clear layer with a dark layer
Mix lightly to combine
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 45 minutes
Topping
Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie, remove from heat, add butter and rum, and mix well
Remove the cake while still warm and apply the topping, smoothing well with a spatula.
