200g all-purpose flour
75g butter
1 tablespoon active dry yeast
1 teaspoon cream tartar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup whole milk
200g all-purpose flour
75g butter
1 tablespoon active dry yeast
1 teaspoon cream tartar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup whole milk
Place the flour on a surface, make a hole in the center and put 50g of butter, yeast, cream tartar, baking soda, and mix everything with milk
When the dough is ready, knead it gently, roll it out to about 1cm thickness
Use a cookie cutter or the rim of a glass to cut the dough into disks
Gather up any scraps, roll them out again and cut them too, until all the dough is used
You should end up with around 35 disks
Place them in a greased baking dish and bake in a hot oven for half an hour
The disks will rise, taking on a rounded shape
As soon as they are golden brown, remove them from the oven
Serve warm, with butter
It may not be fancy pastry, but it's still a lovely figure.
