In a large pot, bring 5 liters of water to a boil
Add the salt and combine with the pasta
Cook for 10 minutes or until al dente
In a bowl, mix together the heavy cream, prosciutto, and peas
Drain the pasta, reserving two cups of the cooking liquid
Combine the liquid with the sauce, mix well, and place in the same pot used to cook the pasta
Mix well again
Let it simmer, without boiling
Check the seasoning and sprinkle with red pepper flakes
Serve immediately.
