In a large pot, sauté the garlic in olive oil over medium heat
Add the potato, water, and salt
Bring to a boil
Cover and cook until the potato is tender (about 20 minutes)
Use a fork to mash the potato in the pot
Add the cabbage and sausage
Simmer until the cabbage is tender (about 10 minutes)
Transfer to a serving bowl and serve immediately.
