1 kg of peeled and deveined shrimp
3 tablespoons of unsalted butter or margarine, no salt
2 tablespoons of olive oil
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1/2 cup of dry white wine
1/2 cup of Curaçao, Cointreau, or Grand Marnier
4 tablespoons of freshly squeezed orange juice
2 oranges, peeled and segmented, seeds removed
Salt and black pepper to taste
1/4 cup of toasted and chopped almonds (optional)

Clean the shrimp
In a pan, melt the butter or margarine and olive oil, and fry the shrimp for 2 minutes
Add the garlic, white wine, Curaçao, orange juice, and orange segments
Fry for an additional 2 minutes, stirring occasionally
Season with salt and black pepper to taste
Serve over rice
Garnish with almonds if desired
