Combine all ingredients in a pot and simmer for 1 hour over low heat, uncovered
Stir occasionally to prevent sticking at the bottom
Remove from heat and fill still-warm sterilized jars
Tighten lids and place in boiling water bath
Simmer for 20 minutes
Remove jars from water bath, tighten lids, and store in a cool, well-ventilated area
After opening, refrigerate
