1 cup of sugar
4 cups of water
2 ripe mangoes, cut into small pieces
2 papayas, sliced
3 apricots, sliced
1 cup of strawberries, hulled and sliced
2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lime juice
2-3 cinnamon sticks

Place the sugar in a large pot
Add water and bring to a boil until it reaches the desired consistency
Wash and peel the mangoes
Remove the pit, cut into 4 pieces, and then slice thinly
Do the same with the papayas
Rinse the strawberries and apricots
Combine all the fruit in the prepared saucepan
Add the lime juice and cinnamon sticks
Simmer over medium heat for about 15 minutes
Let it cool in the refrigerator
Serve chilled, and if desired, top with whipped cream
The fruit used in this compote can vary, using peaches and other fruits.
