Peel the papaya, remove the seeds, and slice it finely
Wash and boil with a sugar syrup
Syrup: Mix sugar with 3 cups of water
Boil until it reaches a thin, jelly-like consistency
Add the papaya and stir until the papaya is fully cooked and the syrup has thickened to your liking
Consistency check: When you lift the syrup with a spoon, it should form a fine, stringy thread
If not, continue boiling and testing until it reaches the desired consistency
