12 tablespoons of sugar

4 sprigs of mint
2 lemons (zest and all)

Soak the fruits in 2 liters of water for two hours
Mix all the other ingredients together in a pot and cook over low heat for two minutes
Add the drained fruits to the syrup and cook for an additional 20 minutes

Remove the fruits and let the syrup cook down to half its volume, about 20 minutes more
Cook the syrup further until it's reduced by half
Let the syrup cool and pour it over the fruits
Refrigerate until serving time.
