1 kilogram of Ripe Pawp
1 kilogram and 1 cup of sugar
2 tablespoons (tablespoon) of Virgin's Balm
1 kilogram of Ripe Pawp
1 kilogram and 1 cup of sugar
2 tablespoons (tablespoon) of Virgin's Balm
Peel the pawp, remove the seeds, and cut it into squares approximately 3 x 3 inches
Dissolve the balm in a little water that just covers the pawp, combine with the pawp, and leave to soak for about twenty minutes or half an hour
Then wash the pawp and lightly fork it
Make a thin syrup with sugar, let it cool, then add the pawp cubes
Let it simmer slowly
When the pawp is soft, test to see if it's sweet enough
The next day, bring it back to a boil again
When the syrup is thick, place the pawp cubes on a tray and put them in the sun to dry
If you want, you can roll them in crystallized sugar.
