In a large saucepan, medium heat, make a syrup with the sugar, water, lemon zest, and cinnamon
Add the mango cubes and cook on high heat for 20 minutes or until they're tender but still firm
Remove from heat and let cool
Transfer the sweet to a serving dish and serve chilled.
