2 tablespoons of olive oil
2 chopped onions (200g)
2 minced garlic cloves
100g of smoked bacon, cut into strips
700g of beef
1 chopped parsley stalk
1 diced carrot (150g)
4 kg of fava beans without pods
3 peeled and cubed potatoes (300g)
1 sprig of thyme
3 tablespoons of chili flakes
1 bay leaf
Salt and black pepper to taste

Fry the olive oil, onion, garlic, bacon, beef, parsley, carrot, and fava beans for 5 minutes
Remove the meats and add the potatoes, thyme, chilies, and bay leaf
Season with salt and black pepper and return the meats to the pot
Simmer over low heat, shaking occasionally, and adding hot water as needed
Check the seasoning before turning off the heat
Serve hot.
