4 large onions, cut into halves and thin slices
1 bay leaf
to taste salt and black pepper
500g tenderized beef roll, cut into 1 1/2 cm long strips
2 tablespoons of butter or margarine
2 tablespoons of vinegar
optional chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Acknowledge 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large frying pan
Add the onion, bay leaf, salt, and black pepper
Cook over low heat for about 15 minutes, until the onions are caramelized. Reserve
Sprinkle the beef with salt and black pepper
Heat the remaining olive oil in another frying pan
Add half of the beef strips and cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally to achieve even browning
Drian on a wire rack, reserving the oil
Place this oil back into the frying pan and heat it
Add the remaining beef strips and repeat the process
Add the butter or margarine, reserved onions, and vinegar
Mix well and serve hot, garnished with parsley and served with potatoes if desired.
