Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C)

In a saucepan, combine 1/4 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar
Bring to a boil over low heat, then reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer until the sugar dissolves

Remove from heat and stir in the melted chocolate and butter until smooth
Let cool slightly

In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour

Add the warm chocolate mixture to the egg mixture and mix well

Pour into an ungreased 9-inch springform pan and bake for 45-50 minutes or until set

Remove from oven and let cool in pan for 10 minutes
