2 chickens of 1.5 kg each, cut into pieces
4 tablespoons of olive oil
3 tablespoons of butter
6 slices of smoked bacon, cut in half
12 tomato slices
2 tablespoons of fresh basil, chopped
2 tablespoons of chopped parsley
2 cloves of garlic, well mashed
salt and black pepper to taste
2 cups of dry white wine

Preheat the oven to moderate temperature (170°C)
Heat the olive oil and butter
Fry the chicken pieces until they're browned on all sides
Place the chicken pieces in a baking dish or refractory form
Add half a slice of smoked bacon and a tomato slice over each chicken piece
Mix together the parsley, basil, garlic, salt, and black pepper
Sprinkle a little over each chicken piece
Soak with wine and put in the oven
Bake for about 40 minutes or until the chicken is tender
Moisten from time to time with the baking dish liquid
Arrange the chicken pieces on a platter and garnish with tomato gummies, basil sprigs, and parsley, and serve hot
