Seasoned Protein
1 1/4 cups textured soy protein cubes
3 cups warm water
1 tablespoon soy sauce (shoyu)
2 tablespoons oil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon tomato paste powder
2 tablespoons sweet cornstarch
1 tablespoon wheat flour
Legumes
2 tablespoons oil
2 medium carrots, sliced
100g bamboo sprouts, sliced
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup water
1 green pepper, cubed
100g roasted and peeled almonds
Salt to taste
For frying
2 cups oil

Soak the protein in warm water for 20 minutes
Then drain and rinse
Repeat the process two more times
In a bowl, mix soy sauce with oil, garlic powder, tomato paste powder, and salt
Add the protein and stir
Let it sit for half an hour

In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch with wheat flour and add the protein to that mixture
Fry until golden brown
Drain excess oil
Legumes
Heat oil in a pan over high heat
Add carrots and sauté
Add bamboo sprouts and salt
Cook for 5 minutes
Add the seasoned protein and green pepper
Cook until the peppers are crispy
Serve with toasted almonds.
