Combine the dry ingredients together
Mix the wet ingredients, including the egg, milk, and melted butter, and add the dry ingredients
Mix well
Pith and remove the center of the pineapple
Cut into slices approximately 2 cm thick and then cut into quarters
Dip each piece in the batter and fry in plenty of oil or hot skillet for 3 to 4 minutes or until golden brown
Drain and dust with confectioner's sugar
