Pineapple: Remove the skin, cut into four pieces and remove the core
Wash the peaches without removing their skins and leave them whole
Wash the oranges and divide them into six segments
Peel the bananas and cut them into bite-sized pieces
Clean the strawberries and grapes thoroughly
Melt the butter or margarine in a saucepan and add the fruit mixture
Cover the saucepan and let it simmer slowly for a few minutes, stirring occasionally
Add a cup of water to the saucepan and the sweetness to taste
Let it simmer slowly until the liquid reduces completely
When serving, drizzle with two tablespoons of Cointreau
This dessert is even more delicious warm, but can also be served chilled: Serves 6.
