Peel the lemons and oranges
Cut thin slices from the lemon and orange peels
The lemons will not be used, only their peels
Make a juice from the oranges and reserve
Boil plenty of water, add the peels and let it boil for 15 minutes
Simmer for another 15 minutes and strain again. Reserve
Peel the watermelon, remove the rinds, and cube into small pieces
Simmer the watermelon in 150 ml of water over low heat for 20 minutes
Add the scalded peels and orange juice
Weigh all the mixture and add 750 g of sugar for every kilogram of it
Simmer again over low heat for about an hour, until the watermelon cubes are transparent
Store immediately in sterilized and tightly sealed containers.
