2 kg of black grapes

Place the grapes in a pot and mash them slightly
Add the water
Cook until the seeds have separated
Strain through a fine-mesh sieve, then a clean cloth
For each cup of liquid, mix 2/3 cup of sugar
Heat the mixture
When boiling, add the sugar and cook until the mixture thickens to the consistency of gelato
Place in warm, sterilized jars
Seal tightly and store in a cool place
