1 1/2 cups cooked chickpeas
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1/3 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/2 cup tahini (sesame paste)
2 red bell peppers, seeded and sliced

Blend the chickpeas, garlic, and lemon juice in a blender or food processor until smooth
Season with salt to taste
Add 1 tablespoon of water at a time until the mixture is spreadable and consistent
Mix in the tahini well
Serve the hummus in a bowl
Garnish with sliced red bell peppers
Note: Serve with fresh or toasted pita bread.
