4 small maces - 600 g
1 cup of arrowroot - 180 g
1 cup of water
2 tablespoons of grated lime zest
4 tablespoons of lime juice - 60 ml

Wash the maces and cut them into 4 parts
Remove the seed part and slice it into pieces about 0.5 cm thick. Reserve
Mix the water and arrowroot in a saucepan
Let it boil, stirring only until the arrowroot dissolves
Add the zest, lime juice, and cinnamon
Let it boil again for 1 minute
Add the maces to the boiling liquid
Cover and cook by shaking the pan occasionally for 3-5 minutes, or until the maces become soft
Remove from heat
Let it cool and refrigerate
Serve warm in bowls or with whipped cream
