1 bell pepper or 4 small peppers
12 thin slices of cooked ham
12 slices of cheddar cheese or mozzarella
salt and black pepper to taste

Mix the butter or margarine with the mustard and onion
Cut all the peppers, or the bell pepper, into 1 cm wide strips by cutting almost to the bottom, taking care not to separate them
Spread the butter mixture evenly between the strips
Place one slice of ham and one slice of cheese
Close the pepper as much as possible and wrap in aluminum foil
Bake in a moderate oven (170°C) until well heated.
