Melt the butter (or margarine) over low heat
Add the flour, salt, and white pepper
Stir well
Combine the milk and prepared mustard
Mix until smooth
Cook rapidly, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and bubbles
Remove from heat and serve
Excellent for serving with roasted vegetables or macaroni.
