Melt the butter or margarine in a pan
Add the flour and mix until smooth
Gradually add the chicken broth
Add the heavy cream and simmer over low heat until the sauce thickens
Add the sherry wine, salt, black pepper, and shrimp
Mix well
Season to taste
Serve with 1 1/2 cups.
