Sear the onion and garlic in hot olive oil
Blanch the tomatoes in boiling water
Remove their skins and seeds
Blend the tomato pulp in a blender or food processor, then combine it with the seared mixture
Add the beef broth gradually and let the sauce thicken until it becomes dense and slightly darkened
Alternatively, you can use a cube of concentrated beef broth and 1 cup of water instead of beef broth
You can also add, to taste, other seasonings such as rosemary, sage, marjoram, or oregano.
