Chill a 2-liter mold in the refrigerator until well chilled
Mix the sugar and dark chocolate chips in a saucepan
Add the water and mix well
Cook, stirring constantly, until the sugar dissolves
Continue cooking without stirring until it reaches a soft-ball stage
Remove from heat and add the liqueur. Reserve
Beat heavy cream to stiff peaks
Beat egg whites until they become light and fluffy
Combine chocolate mixture with liqueur, beating constantly
Add beaten heavy cream and mix carefully
Place in chilled mold
Cover with aluminum foil, pressing edges tightly
Wrap entire mold in aluminum foil and refrigerate for 2 hours before serving
Unmold and refrigerate until ready to serve
