In a large pot, boil 3 liters of water
Add the whole sweet potatoes with skin
Cook for 25 minutes or until they're tender

Drain and squeeze out excess liquid from the sweet potatoes
Season with salt and transfer to a floured surface
Gradually add flour while kneading, until you get a dough that doesn't stick to your hands
If needed, add more flour

Use the dough to shape logs about 2 cm in diameter and cut them into 2 cm pieces
Place on a floured plate

In a large pot, boil 4 liters of water with 1 tablespoon of salt
Add the dumplings gradually and cook until they rise to the surface
Remove with a slotted spoon and place in a serving dish.
