For the dough
2 cups of wheat flour
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1/3 cup of cold butter or margarine
3/4 cup of milk
melted butter or margarine for brushing pasties
For the filling
1/2 pound ground beef
1 teaspoon of salt
black pepper to taste
4 1/2 teaspoons of wheat flour
1 meat broth tablet
3/4 cup of water
1 can of drained vegetable selection

Preheat the oven (400°F) well in advance
Mix the flour, salt, and baking powder in a bowl
Cut the butter or margarine into small pieces
Then add the flour and mix with two forks until you get a granulated mixture
Make a depression in the middle and pour in the milk
Mix quickly with a spoon until the dough forms a ball that detaches from the sides of the bowl
Place this dough on a lightly floured surface and knead 7 or 8 times
Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to 12 cm in diameter
In a frying pan, fry the beef with salt and pepper until it's browned
Then add the flour and mix well
Gradually add the water that has dissolved the meat broth tablet
Bring to a boil, then remove from heat
Add the drained vegetable selection
Mix very well and let cool
Place 1/3 cup of this mixture on each dough circle
Cover with another circle and seal the edges with a fork dusted with wheat flour
Brush with melted butter or margarine
Bake in a greased baking dish for 15 minutes or until lightly browned
Remove immediately from the oven using an offset spatula
Serve warm or chilled.
