2 cups (heaping) of peanuts
1/2 cup (cold) of water
1/2 pound of peanuts (4 cups heaping)
1 can of condensed milk
1 tablespoon (heaping) of baking soda
2 cups (heaping) of peanuts
1/2 cup (cold) of water
1/2 pound of peanuts (4 cups heaping)
1 can of condensed milk
1 tablespoon (heaping) of baking soda
Cook the peanuts over medium heat, together with the peanut and cold water, stirring well until the peanuts turn a caramel-like color
Add the condensed milk, baking soda, and stir vigorously for approximately 5 minutes
Remove from heat
Beat for an additional 3 minutes, then pour into a prepared buttered dish
Cut into squares or diamonds
To store, condition very well in tightly sealed containers.
