1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons chopped green onions
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
black pepper or sweet paprika to taste
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
4 slices of cooked ham
4 thin slices of processed cheese or mild cheddar cheese
For the sauce:
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 tablet chicken broth or granulated bouillon
1 tablespoon granulated bouillon
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
salt and black pepper to taste
1 cup milk
4 tablespoons white wine

In a plate, mix together the all-purpose flour, Parmesan cheese, green onions, parsley, and black pepper
In a small bowl, melt 3 tablespoons of butter or margarine in the microwave
Baste the inside of each chicken breast with the melted butter and place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on the buttered side of the breast
Fold the breast in half and fold the ham or cheese to be inside the 'filé' sandwich
Baste the outside of the filé with the remaining melted butter and coat with the remaining flour mixture
Place in a rectangular baking dish
Dust with the remaining flour mixture
Heat in medium power, uncovered, for 10 minutes
Flip the chicken breasts and dust with the remaining flour mixture
Heat again in medium power, uncovered, for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the meat is tender
For the sauce: melt 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine in the microwave
Add the flour and granulated bouillon, stirring well
Add the parsley, salt, and black pepper, stirring well
Add the milk and white wine, stirring well
Heat in high power, uncovered, for 4-6 minutes, stirring three times
Serve over the chicken breasts
Cut into quarters.
