4 ripe but firm pears
2 tablespoons of butter
1 cup of sugar
200g of chocolate bars
Half a cup of dry white wine

Carefully peel the pears, leaving the stems intact
Arrange them in a pot and add the butter, white wine, and sugar
Cook over low heat, replenishing with the liquid from the pot
When they are cooked but still firm, remove the pears from the pot and place them on a strainer to drain
Melt the chocolate in a water bath
Place a pear on each plate and drizzle with melted chocolate
Serve immediately.
