In a large bowl, combine the beef, potatoes, onion, salt, pepper, and milk
Mix well
Aquaint the butter in a skillet over low heat, then spread the hash mixture evenly
Cook for about 20 minutes, or until the bottom is golden brown and crispy
Don't stir it!
Occasionally, use a spatula to loosen the mixture from the bottom of the skillet
Serve hot or warm in a serving dish
It's perfect for 4 servings.
