Boil the water with 1 cup of sugar for 5 minutes (starting from when the mixture begins to boil)
Pare and halve the pears; remove the seeds
Cook them in the syrup
While that's cooking, prepare the sauce: mix the chocolate chips and sugar in a pan
Add the water and after it comes to a boil, let it cook for 3 minutes
Remove from heat and add vanilla extract and butter
Remove the pears from the syrup and serve each two halves over a scoop of vanilla ice cream, topping with hot chocolate sauce
Serve 6 times.
