6 cups (chops) of water
100g grated cheese
Salt to taste

Bring the water to a boil
Add salt and gradually add the cornmeal, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon for about 40 minutes or until cooked
Pour into a moist mold and let it cool down
Unmold and cut into thin slices
Arrange the slices in a greased baking dish and sprinkle grated cheese on each piece of polenta
Bake in a medium preheated oven until lightly golden brown, then serve immediately with roasted beef, baked chicken, or braised duck as an option
