500 to 750 g of pomegranates
50 to 100 g of sugar
2 bottles of white wine
1 bottle of champagne

Shell the pomegranates (it's a good idea to give them a quick boil beforehand)
Remove the seeds and cut into pieces
Mix with the sugar and place in the punch bowl with 1/2 bottle of wine
Let it rest covered for 1 hour
Add the remaining wine and stir in the chilled champagne just before serving.
