Peel and slice the bananas into thick slabs
In a large frying pan, combine the banana, lime juice, sugar, and butter
Let it simmer on low heat until a caramelized sauce forms
Turn off the heat, pour in the dark rum over the banana, and flambé with caution
Let it cool slightly and process the flambéed banana with the sauce in a food processor to obtain a puree
Place the puree into individual servings and decorate with caramelized banana slices
Serve warm or chilled.
