Preheat the oven
Mix together the flour and salt
Add the butter or margarine to small pieces and mix until a granulated consistency is achieved
Add the cold water and mix until all the flour is moistened
Divide the dough into two parts
Roll out one half of the dough thinly and cut it into 6 equal squares
Place a square piece of cheese, about 1 cm thick, on half of these squares
Moisten the edges of the dough and cover with the remaining squares
Fold the edges tightly
Poke the top and brush with the beaten egg
Repeat the process with the remaining dough
Place in an ungreased baking dish and bake for 15 minutes
Cut into 6 squares
Serve as a snack with salad.
